Sourcing

Every article on Bit671 credits and links its original source, usually in a "Source:" line at the end of the piece. We never present another outlet's original reporting, interviews or exclusives as our own work. When multiple outlets report the same news, we try to credit the outlet that broke the story first, and we link to it directly rather than to a secondary aggregator.

Review roundups

Our Reviews section does not contain first-hand play reviews. Instead, we summarize what a number of professional critics have already published about a game: the strengths, the weaknesses and who the game is likely to suit. We do not claim hands-on play time unless that is explicitly stated, and we never invent or estimate a score. When we mention a score, it is always attributed to the outlet that gave it, for example "GameSpot gave it 8/10", never presented as our own rating.

Rumors and leaks

Unconfirmed information is always labeled "unconfirmed" in the opening paragraph of an article, and we never present a rumor as fact in a headline. If a report is later confirmed or denied by an official source, we update the article rather than leaving outdated speculation standing alone on the page.

Spoilers

Articles that discuss significant story spoilers carry a clear warning at the top of the page. We keep spoilers out of headlines and article summaries so they do not appear unexpectedly in search results or social previews.

AI assistance

Articles on Bit671 are drafted with AI assistance from public sources, then checked against those sources before publication. Names, dates, prices, platforms, scores and quotes are kept exactly as reported; nothing is invented, and unclear details are left out rather than guessed at.
