Quick guide to earning the Maxence Lacroix Ones to Watch card in FC 27
The Maxence Lacroix Ones to Watch card is a top free centre-back in FC 27 Ultimate Team's early season. Locked at 83 OVR, it can't be bought or earned via SBCs — players must reach Season Pass Level 7 by earning 7,000 SP…
Why This Card Matters Early On
If you're building a squad in FC 27 Ultimate Team, the Maxence Lacroix Ones to Watch card is one of the best free centre-backs available in the early weeks. Unlike most high-value items, it cannot be purchased on the transfer market or earned through an SBC — meaning every player who wants it has to go through the same route.
The Requirements: Level 7 and 7,000 SP
The card sits at 83 OVR and is locked at Level 7 of the Season Pass. To reach it, you'll need to grind out 7,000 Season Points (SP) quickly. That makes it an attainable early objective for anyone putting in regular playtime, rather than a reward reserved for late-season grinders.
Why the Card Can Grow in Value
What sets this card apart from typical season rewards is its upgrade mechanic: as a Ones to Watch item, it improves automatically whenever Chelsea — Lacroix's real-world club — wins matches. In other words, the 83 OVR rating is only the starting point, and the card's long-term usefulness depends on Chelsea's form throughout the season.
Where You Stand Now
The card is currently live as a Season Pass reward. If you're early in the FC 27 cycle, your priority is clear: bank 7,000 SP to hit Level 7 before the season progresses, since the card is otherwise unobtainable through the market or SBCs.
