Walkthrough: Jungle Heist in 007: First Light

Jungle Heist in 007: First Light is a five-objective stealth mission with randomized targets, hacks, safe codes, keycards, and guarded roof escape.

Background: A First Expansion Adds a Repeatable Operation

007 First Light has received its first expansion, the Extended Operations DLC. One of the new missions is Jungle Heist, which takes place in Vietnam, the setting of Mission 8: Time to Die in the campaign.

Spoiler warning: The sentence above identifies the campaign location associated with Mission 8: Time to Die, so readers who want to avoid story setting details should skip it.

Jungle Heist is available separately from the campaign flow. It appears in the Tactical Simulation section on the main menu and is listed under Operations. The original material also references a broader 007 First Light walkthrough for players working for His Majesty's Secret Service. The source guide credits images to Eurogamer/IO Interactive and does not provide a platform or release date for the expansion.

Development Process: Five Objectives Define the Heist

The mission is organized into five objectives. The first three involve randomized targets, while the lockdown and escape phases change the house into a more dangerous environment.

1. Track the Signal

Your first goal is to track a distant signal from a guard. The radar in the bottom left shows blue waves pulsing in the required direction. When you reach the marked guard, Bond must remain close for a period while he automatically hacks the device, filling the gauge to 100%.

The signal location is randomized. It can be near the group of guards by the pool, outside the house on the second floor, inside the house on the second floor, or even at the start with one of the first few guards walking by. If the marker appears by the pool, restarting the mission can place it elsewhere; the pool area is the least favorable spot because nearby hiding options are scarce.

2. Hack Target's Phone for Safe Code

The opening always begins outside the house, in some bushes, crouched. Move to the right until reaching a rocky ledge where the stairs are visible, then hang from it. Shimmy to the glass railway and enter the house while avoiding outdoor cameras.

After hacking the first target and evading detection, you receive the safe code. The code is randomized on every run, so there is no fixed code to reuse.

3. Steal the Documents from the Safe

The second objective is also randomized, but the safe will always be inside the house. It may be on the first or second floor, with the objective marker showing its exact location. Open the safe and take the documents, quietly removing any nearby guards to keep the route stable.

4. Lockdown, Keycard, and Lift Lockdown

The third objective is randomized as well. Immediately after stealing the documents, alarms activate, alert some guards, and require you to find a Keycard on an enemy. The card can appear on any enemy, though the guide notes it seems to be only on enemies already inside the house. The objective marker identifies the guard to steal from.

Once the Keycard is in hand, the lockdown lift is not randomized. There are several shutter controller panels around the house that accept the Keycard. Choose any panel to lift the lockdown.

5. Escape

The final objective is escape, and the exit is always at the top of the roof. This is the hardest phase because guards are on high alert and many stand in the way.

The most direct route is to go up the stairs to the second floor, turn around toward the bar area, and pass through a large door. From there, another door on the left leads outside. As you step out, a stairway immediately to the right leads to the roof.

At the bottom of that stairway, one guard paces back and forth. Two more guards are visible in the distance on a ledge, so timing matters. Wait for the first guard to move to the left side of the doorway, then head right and climb the stairs.

At the top of the stairs, two guards patrol nearby. Wait out of sight until their routes clear. While crouched, round the corner and move into the bushes on the right, following a really long ventilation pipe. This cover lets you cross to the other side of the roof.

The escape point is in the middle of the roof. Continue crouching through bushes and take out guards stealthily until you reach it. When no one is watching, interact with the laptop button to complete the mission.

Latest Progress: Preparation, Modifiers, and Risk Control

This Jungle Heist walkthrough recommends preparation before starting. The mission can be finished without any gadgets, but the Dart Phones and Laser Strap are suggested as distractions, and the Smoke Pod can support a quick getaway.

Two modifiers affect the mission. Power Enemies makes opponents stronger. Rewarding Finishers grants extra gadget resources when enemies are finished with melee attacks. This makes stealth melee useful not only for silence, but also for resource recovery.

If you are detected later, the License to Kill allows combat or gunfire, but the escape button cannot be used while nearby hostiles are alerted. You must regain control of the situation before interacting with the laptop.

At the current stage, Jungle Heist is a live mission in the Extended Operations DLC. Its randomized signal, safe code, safe location, and keycard target mean that one run may need restarting, while the fixed roof exit and shutter panels provide reliable final steps. For players testing the mission, the practical loop is: check the signal location, enter through the glass railway, recover the safe code, avoid the alarm response, lift the lockdown, and time the rooftop escape.
