Within its event-driven progression, Star Path duties can require a specific item rather than a simple conversation or collection task. The try on the Astronomer’s Apprentice Backpack quest in the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path is one of those checkpoints. The duty is straightforward once the item is owned, but the item is locked behind event access, page-two availability, and a 60 Token purchase.

Background: A Permanent Star Path Checkpoint

The Astronomer’s Apprentice Backpack is an event-exclusive clothing item from page two of the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path. It cannot be found as a random item around the valley or purchased outside the event. The Astronomer’s Journey Star Path is permanent, so players who already have access can complete the task at any time. Players who do not yet have access must start and work through Merlin’s On the Path of Stars quest to unlock the event.

This is where the mission can feel unclear: the duty asks players to try on the backpack, but the real requirement is to acquire the backpack first. Acquisition depends on event progress and Tokens.

This is why the quest may require working through a couple of key event tasks before the item can be purchased.

Latest Progress: Buying, Equipping, and Exiting the Wardrobe

After page two is available and 60 Tokens are spent on the Astronomer’s Apprentice Backpack, the final action is to equip the item. It is stored under the Back category in the wardrobe. Completing the try on the Astronomer’s Apprentice Backpack duty requires equipping it once and fully exiting the wardrobe with the backpack worn by the character. If the player opens the wardrobe, equips the backpack, but leaves it in a menu state without exiting, the quest may not register.

Completing the duty gives 25 Tokens back to the Astronomer’s Journey Star Path. The reward is not large, but it is easy once the backpack is owned, and Tokens remain useful for claiming other event prizes.
