Rayman Legends Retold Overview Trailer Addresses Remaining Fan Concerns

Ubisoft has rolled out a fresh overview trailer for Rayman Legends Retold, giving players their best look yet at the game ahead of its release on 3rd December 2026.

When the project was first announced, there were fair questions about whether it needed to exist at all. After all, Rayman Legends: Definitive Edition is still on sale for Switch and remains an excellent platformer. After seeing this new footage, though, those doubts are hard to hold onto — the game looks genuinely impressive.

More Than a Straight Remaster

What stands out from the trailer is that this isn't just a coat of paint on the 2013 classic. Ubisoft has packed in a significant amount of new content, including fresh music levels and a brand-new realm to explore entirely.

The storytelling side has also received serious attention. New cutscenes have been added to give the characters more depth, giving the adventure a narrative lift the original never had.

A Real Shot at Reviving Rayman

Taken together, the upgrades suggest Ubisoft is making a genuine effort to reboot the limbless hero and set the franchise up for a strong future. The value proposition helps too: the launch edition bundles in Rayman Origins: Enhanced Edition, all for £34.99.

That said, the decision ultimately comes down to personal appetite. Even with all the added extras, some players may not feel the need to replay what is, at its core, Rayman Legends once again — and that's a perfectly reasonable takeaway.
