Luminosity have punched their ticket to the Logitech G Play Connect playoffs, wrapping up the Bo1 group stage at 3-2 after a tense win over Ninjas in Pyjamas decided a three-team battle for the last knockout spot. A Rollercoaster Finals Day

It was a rough start for Luminosity, who fell 13-7 to GamerLegion on Nuke, as shown on the official match page. They recovered with a 13-9 victory over Metizport on Mirage, then came up just short against group leaders B8, losing 11-13 on Dust2.

From there, the team finished strong: a dominant 13-4 dismantling of M80 on Ancient, then a nerve-wracking 13-11 victory over NIP, again on Ancient. That last win turned out to be the difference-maker — without it, Luminosity, NIP and GamerLegion would have finished level on the final playoff spot, a scenario in which NIP would have advanced via tiebreakers.

On the individual side, former Liquid player Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov put up a 1.22 rating across the five maps, with Aurélien "afro" Drapier close behind at 1.19 over the same span.

Group Fallout

With their 3-2 finish, Luminosity move on to the knockout stage, while Liquid and NIP are both out as the Logitech G Play Connect field progresses, according to HLTV. NIP's defeat on Ancient ultimately decided the last qualifying berth and ended their run in Poland.

NIP lined up with Adam "adamb" Ångström, Martin "stavn" Lund, Kacper "xKacpersky" Gabara, Karim "Krimbo" Moussa and Rasmus "sjuush" Beck, while Luminosity fielded Oscar "AZUWU" Bell, Rainwaker, Simon "yxngstxr" Boije, afro and Lucas "lux" Meneghini.

The playoff berth marks another step in a turnaround for Luminosity, a team that has found life difficult since the move to Counter-Strike 2 but now arrives off a runner-up finish at Roman Imperium Cup VIII.
