God of War Laufey: All Editions and Pre-Order Bonuses
God of War Laufey pre-orders open September 29, 2026, and launch February 16, 2027. This guide covers Standard and Digital Deluxe editions and bonus.
Spoiler warning: This article covers only announced release, storefront, and edition details. It does not reveal story turns or ending.
Background: A Mainline Entry Built on the Acclaimed Action-Adventure Series
PlayStation and Sony Santa Monica have revealed snippets of details about the next mainline entry in the acclaimed action-adventure series. The game is titled God of War Laufey, and the announcement gives players a concrete launch date and pre-order window rather than a vague future release. For readers, the value is timing: the reveal is not just a teaser, but a scheduling notice that separates the waiting period from the buying period.
Development Timeline: Pre-Order Window and Launch Date
The announced dates create a clear timeline.
- September 29, 2026, from 10am (local time) onwards: players can start pre-ordering God of War Laufey on the PlayStation Store.
- February 16, 2027: the game arrives.
This places a roughly four-and-a-half-month gap between the pre-order opening and the launch. Readers can treat the September 2026 storefront date as the first action point for securing an edition, while the February 2027 date marks the final wait before release.
Editions: Standard and Digital Deluxe Details
This latest entry comes in Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, with the former including a multitude of cosmetic items for Laufey’s armor and weapons. The announcement also points to additional information on what is included in God of War Laufey’s Digital Deluxe Edition and pre-order bonuses.
Because the provided reveal excerpt only names the two edition types and the cosmetic items tied to the former, readers should not assume the Digital Deluxe Edition contents beyond what has been stated. The next meaningful update should be a fuller breakdown of Digital Deluxe Edition items and pre-order bonuses.
What Readers Can Do Now
At this stage, the known actions are limited to calendar and edition awareness. Players interested in the next mainline God of War entry can mark September 29, 2026, at 10am local time as the pre-order opening on the PlayStation Store. Players waiting for release details can mark February 16, 2027. The current stage is a dated announcement: the game has a named title, developer, storefront, launch date, pre-order date, and two editions, while the full Digital Deluxe Edition package and pre-order bonus list remain to be detailed.
