Vendors in Control Resonant are where you'll spend your resources, so knowing where all of them are saves a lot of wandering. There are seven in total: Downtown, Central, West Incursion Zone, The Park, Evacuation Zone, Underpass, and Unknown.
One universal tip before the breakdown: vendors emit ice cream van music when you're nearby. If you can hear that jingle, a vendor is close — this is often faster than checking the map.
Each vendor also has a Health Upgrade Point next to it, so every visit below is worth pairing with an upgrade grab.
The easy pair: Downtown and Central
Downtown sits south of the 'Outside the Oldest House' fast travel point. Fast travel there, climb over the southern fence by the basketball net, jump across the road, and drop straight down into the area in front of the lift — you'll land right at the vendor.
Central is east of the 'Central Frontline' fast travel point, roughly north of East Park Station (with several buildings in between). From 'Central Frontline', head east across the roofs, keeping left around the building directly to the right of the fast travel point. This leads you to a gap between two buildings — go through it and you'll find a small plaza atop some buildings where the vendor waits, alongside a Health Upgrade Point.
The Hiss Spike gauntlets: West Incursion Zone and Underpass
Two vendors require navigating past Hiss Spikes.
West Incursion Zone is north of the parking garage. Fast travel to either 'House of Mirrors' or 'Theater Vista' (either works), then head to the Map Kit for the zone. Near the patterned wall you'll spot an alleyway filled with Hiss Spikes — float down this road, avoiding the spikes, and the vendor is at the end. Grab the Health Upgrade Point on your first visit.
Underpass is trickier, because the area's layout means the vendor may appear on your map as recorded even though you've never actually been there. Start at 'The Spire' fast travel point and retrace your opening steps from the 'Recursions and Iterations' mission: head north out of the research camp and jump across to the right-hand block covered in desks. Drop onto the ledge along its right-hand side, then head toward the patterning platforms — but don't jump on them. Look down instead: there are ledges below, with Hiss Spikes in the area beyond. Jump down to the lower platforms, drop into the spike area (the terrain makes avoidance fairly easy), and you'll find the vendor past the spikes, plus another Health Upgrade Point.
The vertical climb: The Park
The Park's vendor sits atop the parking garage — and you can't reach it by climbing inside the garage itself, thanks to all the mold inside. You have two options:
- Fast travel to 'Mold Factory' and use Reach (or float) to reach the garage roof.
- If 'Mold Factory' isn't unlocked yet, first travel through the garage so you're on the correct side, then climb the wall of mold on the left-hand side of the garage to its roof.
Either way, the vendor is easy to spot at the top, with a Health Upgrade Point nearby.
The ground-level drop: Evacuation Zone
This vendor is east of the 'Main Street' fast travel location. Fast travel to 'Main Street', jump to the roof with the Map Kit radar on it, then drop to the ground — the vendor is a short distance away.
Alternatively, take the road leading from the Sinkhole to the Evac Building: heading toward the Evac Building, take the last alleyway on the left, go right at its end, and continue forward until you reach the vendor. Health Upgrade Point included, as always.
The post-game one: Unknown
Spoiler reminder: the final vendor, Unknown, sits on the island to the right of the one containing the Field Office — but its fast travel point doesn't unlock until after you've completed Control Resonant, so this one is effectively post-game content.
Once you're on the island, head away from the park area and keep Shifting until you spot the vendor at the far end, by a fence and some benches. It's genuinely easy to find once the island is accessible.
Where that leaves you
Seven vendors, one recurring pattern: fast travel point first, then a short navigation challenge — a fence climb, a roof run, a spike alley, a mold wall, or a post-game island. If you're mid-game, you can clear the first six; the Unknown vendor is the only one gated behind finishing the story. And wherever the map seems ambiguous, let the ice cream van music be your guide.
FAQ
How many vendors are in Control Resonant and where are they located?
There are seven vendors in total: Downtown, Central, West Incursion Zone, The Park, Evacuation Zone, Underpass, and Unknown. A helpful tip is that vendors emit ice cream van music when you're nearby, so if you hear that jingle, a vendor is close.
Is there an easy way to find vendors without checking the map?
Yes — vendors emit ice cream van music when you're nearby. If you can hear that jingle, a vendor is close, which is often faster than checking the map. Also, every vendor has a Health Upgrade Point next to it, so pair each visit with an upgrade grab.
Are any vendors missable or locked behind progression?
Yes. The final vendor, Unknown, is located on the island to the right of the one containing the Field Office. Its fast travel point doesn't unlock until after you've completed Control Resonant, so it's effectively post-game content. The other six vendors are accessible mid-game.
Which vendors are the hardest to reach?
The West Incursion Zone and Underpass vendors require navigating past Hiss Spikes, and The Park's vendor sits atop the parking garage — you can't climb up from inside due to mold, so you must fast travel to 'Mold Factory' and use Reach (or float) to the roof, or climb the mold wall on the left-hand side.
Is there a general pattern for reaching each vendor?
Yes — most visits follow the pattern of fast traveling to a point first, then completing a short navigation challenge, such as a fence climb (Downtown), a roof run (Central), a spike alley (West Incursion Zone), a mold wall climb (The Park), or a post-game island trek (Unknown).
