Pokémon GO Event & Raid Schedule for October 2026

Background: Why October Is the Month to Watch

Pokémon Go’s monthly event calendars often use seasonal celebrations as the main organizing principle. For October 2026, the reported schedule centers on the game’s Halloween event, a period the update describes as usually delivering spooky-themed fun and typically introducing one or two new releases.

The same October notes are linked to the Twilight Trails teaser, which is why the schedule is being read as the likely launch window for Mega Chandelure. The update also refers readers back to the September schedule, placing October inside a continuing content cycle rather than treating it as a standalone announcement.

Because Pokémon Go is a location-based game, these calendar markers matter to players who plan their in-game travels around limited-time encounters, quests, and raid activity.

Development Timeline: From September to the October Halloween Window

The first timing marker is the September schedule. The October update tells players who want to know what is happening this month to look at September’s event list, suggesting that the two months are connected through the broader Twilight Trails rollout.

The next marker is the current week described in the update: the Twilight Trails Choose Your Path quest is running this week. This gives players a near-term activity that sits immediately before the main October seasonal period.

Halloween itself falls on October 31, and the reported October 2026 schedule frames that date as the anchor for the game’s seasonal event. The schedule entry for a Super Mega Raid Day adds a separate high-focus raid moment inside the same month.

The October Halloween event is also expected to bring new costume Pokémon to collect. Alongside those costume encounters, the Twilight Trails teaser points to Mega Chandelure as the most likely headline release of the event period.

Latest Progress and What It Means for Players

For players, the October 2026 schedule is a mix of collecting, questing, and raid planning. The active Twilight Trails Choose Your Path quest gives something to play now, while the Halloween event and Super Mega Raid Day give the month its larger goals. The possible Mega Chandelure release is the strongest reason to treat the October window as more than a cosmetic event.

The update’s closing guidance keeps the focus on travel: it tells players to watch for the rarest Pokémon and the best Pokémon while playing. That is the practical takeaway from the October schedule. Players should plan around the active quest first, then prepare for the Halloween period, the Super Mega Raid Day marker, and any new costume or Mega encounter that appears during the event window.

Current Stage

At the point described by the update, players are moving from the September reference into the October build-up. The immediate stage is the Twilight Trails Choose Your Path quest running this week. The next stage is the October 2026 Halloween event, with the Super Mega Raid Day and the likely Mega Chandelure release as the main schedule markers.
