What materials does Valeriy need in Genshin Impact?

Background: Version 7.2 Appearance and Future Banner Return

Valeriy is very likely to appear as a boosted 4-Star Electro character in Genshin Impact version 7.2. If he is not obtained during that window, the Banner schedule can cycle back to him at some later point, giving a future rerun opportunity. The material preparation path therefore starts with the version 7.2 marker and ends with the unspecified return date. The same guide page also includes kit and Constellation details.

Development: Talent Material Costs for One Skill and All Three Talents

Valeriy's skills need Talent materials, and these vary from character to character. The heavy categories are Ethereal materials and Glory materials. Since he has three Talents, a complete build requires the single-skill list multiplied by three.

Talent Material Source Route Across Weekly and Event Cycles

Crown of Insight can be earned from Offering Systems, including Tona's Flame and Fountain of Lucine, purchased from Paimon's Bargains, or received as occasional rewards from limited-time events.

Teachings of Glory, Guide to Glory, and Philosophies of Glory come from the Relics of the Fallen Grace Domain in the Fellfrost Peak region of Snezhnaya on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday. Guide to Glory and Philosophies of Glory can also be made through alchemy from Teachings of Glory and Guide to Glory, respectively.

Ethereal Glimmershard drops from Fae of the Crystalline Flesh, with Frost Fae recommended as the focus.

Counterfeit Resin is obtained from the Exalted Master of the Heretical Path weekly boss at Level 70 or higher, or by alchemy converting one Twisted Withered Branch and one Dream Solvent, or one Profaned Sprout and one Dream Solvent.

Ethereal Crystal is crafted from three Ethereal Glimmershards and 25 Mora.

Ethereal Crystalscale Stone is crafted from three Ethereal Crystal and 25 Mora each.

Latest Progress: Ascension Material Costs and One-Time Stat Growth

Ascension materials raise health, attack, defence, and critical hit effectiveness. Unlike Talent materials, the Ascension cost is paid once to bring Valeriy to his highest character level. Reaching certain Ascension levels rewards Acquaint Fate, which can be spent on standard and beginner Banners to Wish for characters and weapons.

Ascension Material Source Route by Boss Level and Region

Vajrada Amethyst Sliver is an Electro character Ascension material dropped by weekly and normal bosses from Level 1. Weekly: Azhdaha, Childe Everlasting Lord of Arcane Wisdom, Exalted Master of the Heretical Path, Heretic of the False Moon, Magatsu Mitake Narukami no Mikoto, Stormterror Dvalin, and The Game Before the Gate. Normal: Chimeric Winged Lion, Coral Defenders, Electro Hypostasis, Electro Regisvine, Iniquitous Baptist, Knuckle Duckle, Lord of the Hidden Depths - Whisperer of Nightmares, Millennial Pearl Seahorse, Primo Geovishap, Secret Source Automaton - Configuration Device, Tenebrous Papilla, and Thunder Manifestation.

Gemstone, Fragment, and Chunk use the same weekly and normal boss pools, with level gates of 75, 40, and 60 respectively, and all three can be crafted through Alchemy from lower rarity Vajrada Amethyst materials.

Ethereal Glimmershard is supplied by the same Fae of the Crystalline Flesh farm, focused on Frost Fae. The Ethereal Crystal and Ethereal Crystalscale Stone recipes remain three Ethereal Glimmershards plus 25 Mora, and three Ethereal Crystal plus 25 Mora each.

Severed Tail of the Sky-Roamer drops from the Chimeric Winged Lion boss from Level 30.

Fairy Wormwood is found in Teplo Oasis from version 7.2 onwards.

Stage Summary: Current Preparation Window

The current stage is version 7.2 preparation for a likely boosted 4-Star Electro appearance, with a later rerun as the fallback. Talent farming is repeatable because all three Talents require the listed materials three times over, while Ascension is a one-time project centered on Vajrada Amethyst, Ethereal crafting, Sky-Roamer tail drops, and Fairy Wormwood from Teplo Oasis. The key numbers to remember are 1,652,500 Mora for one Talent, 4,957,500 Mora for all three Talents, and 420,000 Mora for full Ascension.
