In the Invincible TV show, Invincible is tossed through dimensions by villain Angstrom Levy to waste his time. One portal lands him in a version of presumably New York City, where he meets Agent Spider and Professor Ock, who has mechanical arms. The two are legally distinct, obviously. Their exchange quickly reveals that Agent Spider is voiced by Josh Keaton. Keaton has voiced Spider-Man in the Spectacular Spider-Man TV series, Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3, and most recently Marvel Tōkon: Fighting Souls.

Latest Progress: Invincible VS Reveals the Character in Its Trailer
The latest Invincible VS trailer plays into this cleverly by revealing Agent Spider as an upcoming downloadable content character. The trailer makes frequent allusions to his Marvel counterpart. Amazon did not pay Disney for the rights to use Spider-Man in the TV show, so Agent Spider works as a substitute. The recognition of Keaton's voice gives the reveal a brief wink rather than a long homage.
