Minecraft Blast, the block-breaking puzzle game, lands on Android in Malaysia as its soft launch continues
Minecraft Blast is now on Android in Malaysia after iOS, advancing a limited regional rollout for the block-matching mobile puzzle spinoff.
Background: A Popular Franchise With Uneven Spinoffs
Minecraft is one of the most popular survival crafting games on the planet. Its spinoffs have had ups and downs, and the latest mobile entry shows the franchise continuing to test new formats beyond its core survival identity.
Minecraft Blast is the latest to slowly roll out across mobile. It is a very different take on the series, moving away from the traditional survival crafting loop and toward a mobile-friendly puzzle concept.
Development Process: From iOS to Android
The rollout began on iOS earlier this year. Minecraft Blast first appeared on mobile via iOS, giving players an early look at the game before it reached Android.
That iOS debut established the basic format: Minecraft Blast looks to be a very straightforward, block-busting puzzler that has players match specific tiles in order to clear the board.
Latest Progress: Android Rollout in Select Regions
The next stage of the rollout is Android availability. Minecraft Blast is now available on Android for the first time in select regions.
The named market in the latest update is Malaysia, where Minecraft Blast just hit Android. This makes the current rollout a limited regional expansion rather than a fully global mobile launch.
What This Means for Players
The timeline shows a staged mobile expansion: iOS first, then Android in limited markets, with Malaysia as 1 named region.
For readers, the update confirms that Minecraft is still experimenting with spinoff formats on phones. The focus is not a new survival adventure but a tile-matching puzzle game tied to the Minecraft brand. Players in supported regions can now compare this approach with other mobile puzzle titles, while readers outside those regions should treat Android availability as region-limited and subject to further rollout.
