The door dial date puzzle is the opening challenge of Silent Hill Townfall's prologue, and it asks you to enter a particular date into a dial set into a bathroom door before you can move on. The good news is that both clues you need are sitting right there in the room with you. Here's the full solution to the Room 204 door dial puzzle in Silent Hill Townfall.

Gather the Clues in Room 204

When you first step into the hotel room during the prologue, you'll gain access to the CRTV, which plays two Signals for you:

• Signal 1 features a woman telling Simon that they cannot stay in this room forever, and reminding him that he has important, difficult work ahead of him.
• Signal 2 shows a calendar displaying the date January 18th.

Once those have played out, you're free to examine several objects scattered around the room:

• Simon's gilet, lying on the bed
• The medical equipment next to the bed
• The oil painting hanging on the wall
• The Haldane Hotel 1996 Menu, resting on the desk

At that point, the only way forward is to crack the door dial date puzzle.

The Door Dial Solution

You already have everything you need from the items above:

• January 18th, the date shown on the calendar in the second CRTV Signal
• 1996, the year printed on the Haldane Hotel Menu

Enter January 18th, 1996 into the dial on the door, and it will swing open.
