Learn how to obtain the Deer skin from 99 Nights in the Forest in Fortnite.

The Deer Fortnite Skin Is Available for 1,500 V-Bucks During Fortnitemares

Background: The annual horror event returns

Fortnite has opened its annual Fortnitemares event in the spookiest month of the year, putting ghouls, ghasts, animatronic mascot murderers and other cinema and video game icons on the battle bus. One new face is The Deer, the big bad from 99 Nights In The Forest. His wide-eyed stare prompted players to ask when they could put him into a fight with Freddy Fazbear, Goku and King Kong, including the image of an assault rifle in his claws.

Development: The shop answer and the prices

The availability question is answered through the Fortnite shop. The Deer can be purchased for 1,500 V-Bucks. A wider bundle is listed at 2,000 V-Bucks and includes Old Sack, Taming Flame, Old Axe and The Deer's Eyes. The image credit names Eurogamer and Epic Games.

Latest: The event lineup is now playable

With the shop prices confirmed, The Deer is no longer a future-only crossover tease. He is part of the current Fortnitemares offer, sitting alongside the other horror and pop culture characters mentioned in the event. The guide also points readers to related Fortnite material: a list of Fortnite Admin Panel codes for free sprites and other goodies, a rundown of how cheat codes work, and a full list of Fortnite guides.

Current stage: 1,500 V-Bucks unlocks The Deer now

The main number to remember is 1,500 V-Bucks for The Deer. The 2,000 V-Bucks bundle adds the four named extras. For now, the event's key step is simple: open the shop, find the 99 Nights In The Forest character, and buy him during Fortnitemares.
