Ares: The Iron Vanguard update adds new Giganto Machia boss raid

The sci-fi action RPG Ares: The Iron Vanguard, which recently rolled out worldwide on iOS and Android, is expanding its endgame content with a fresh raid. The headline feature is the Giganto Machia boss battle, where players face off against a massive creature named Kassia — and walk away with new gear and an Operator Cell progression system to sink their teeth into.

Taking Down Kassia

The centerpiece of the update is the Giganto Machia Raid, a timed boss encounter against the monstrous Kassia. Players can jump in during designated windows, and rewards scale based on individual contribution. That means the harder you fight, the better the loot — including pieces tied to the new Operator Cell progression system.

Barbatos: A 20-Player Dragon Hunt

Kassia isn't the only threat arriving in this patch. A large-scale interception featuring an enormous dragon called Barbatos is also being added, supporting squads of up to 20 players. Those who manage to complete the encounter have a shot at earning Xenosprime, a rare mount that should turn plenty of heads in-game.

What This Means for the Game

With its blend of rapid sci-fi combat and swappable power armour builds, Ares: The Iron Vanguard has plenty of raw material to work with. A major content drop this soon after the global launch is a promising signal that publisher Com2uS intends to keep building on the game with regular updates and refinements.
