Genshin Impact promo codes list for September 2026

If you're playing Genshin Impact and looking to stock up on Primogems, Mora, and other useful resources, redeem codes are one of the easiest ways to grab some freebies. Developer Hoyoverse periodically hands out these codes as gifts to the community, and they're definitely worth claiming whenever they appear.

The catch is that most codes come with a short expiration window. Once a code lapses, it's gone for good, so it pays to redeem everything you can as soon as you see it. Here's how the code system works and how to make sure you never miss a reward.

Active Genshin Impact Codes

HoYoverse typically drops new codes during special livestream broadcasts, where the team previews upcoming updates. These stream codes usually expire within a day or so, which makes them the most time-sensitive rewards in the game. Version milestone celebrations and promotional events can also bring fresh codes, sometimes tied to player-count achievements or anniversary festivities.

Because codes rotate out quickly, always double-check that what you're entering is still valid. If a code returns an error message, it has most likely expired or already been claimed on your account.

How to Redeem Codes

There are two ways to claim your rewards, and both take less than a minute.

Through the official website:

1. Head to the official Genshin Impact code redemption page.
2. Log in with the account linked to your game.
3. Select your server region.
4. Enter your character nickname so the system knows where to send rewards.
5. Type in or paste the redeem code and confirm.

Through the in-game menu:

1. Launch Genshin Impact and open the Paimon Menu.
2. Go to Settings.
3. Select the Account option.
4. Click "Redeem Code" and enter the code.

Once a code is accepted, the rewards are sent directly to your in-game mail. Keep in mind that you'll need to have reached a certain Adventure Rank before codes can be used, so brand-new players may need to progress a bit first.

What Codes Typically Give You

Redeem codes usually contain a mix of helpful items rather than a single reward. Common contents include:

• Primogems — the premium currency used for wishes on character and weapon banners
• Mora — the main currency for leveling characters, weapons, and talents
• Hero's Wit and other experience materials — for speeding up character growth
• Adventurer's Experience — a smaller XP item for early progression
• Refinement items or snack boxes — occasionally bundled with event-related codes

Primogems are the big draw here. Since pulling new characters requires 160 Primogems per wish, every free code adds up over time, especially for players who prefer not to spend money on the game.

Tips to Avoid Missing Codes

• Follow Genshin Impact's official social media accounts, where codes are posted the moment they go live.
• Watch or catch the replay of each version's special program livestream, since that's where the biggest batches appear.
• Redeem codes immediately rather than saving them for later — expired codes cannot be recovered.

With regular updates arriving every few weeks, new code drops are never far away. Check back often so your account stays topped up before the next batch disappears.
