The Witcher 3 walkthrough guide for The White Lady quest

Need a break from The Witcher 3's main storyline? The White Lady is one of Novigrad's many side Contracts, sending Geralt after a spirit that's been terrorizing farmers in the countryside. Your job is to hunt down and destroy Luzi, a Noonwraith, so the locals can finally bring in their harvest.

Here's everything you need to know to complete the Contract, from picking it up to putting Luzi down for good.

Starting the White Lady Contract

Head to the notice board on the south side of Novigrad's walls, close to the Portside and Glory Gates, and grab the Contract. The job: villagers are being harassed by a wraith haunting their fields. They can't harvest their crops, so the creature has to go – and Geralt is the monster slayer for the task.

Once you've accepted, find Helma near the tanning rack just south of the village. She explains that Mico and his companions are now dead in the fields. This is also your chance to haggle for a bigger payout if you want more coin for the job.

From there, mount up and ride to the stone tower south of the village. Enter the orchard, approach the campfire, and dismount. Use your Witcher Senses to examine the corpses and bottles, and follow the trail until your medallion vibrates, signaling a point of interest nearby.

Following the Trail to Dragim Castle

Keep tracking the footprints with your Witcher Senses as they lead northeast. Climb the hill and follow the path until you reach the Ruins of Dragim Castle. The trail ends there, at a large pool of blood that points you toward the castle's basement.

Descend the wooden steps until you find another body. Inspect it closely and you'll learn ghouls dragged it here. To summon the noonwraith, though, you'll need an object that belonged to her in life.

Getting Luzi's Silver Dagger

Return to Helma and report your findings. She reveals the spirit's identity: Luzi, a young woman whose parents had promised her to an elderly city smith. When she found out, she fled and slit her wrists with a silver dagger. Helma hands the dagger over so you can finish the job.

How to Defeat Luzi the Noonwraith

Head back to the pile of corpses by the campfire and place the dagger on the flames. Luzi will appear shortly after, so be ready for a fight.

Like every noonwraith, Luzi has clear weaknesses you should exploit:

  • Moon Dust – stops her from dissipating and reforming
  • Spectre Oil – boosts your blade damage against spectres
  • Yrden Sign – traps the wraith and keeps her solid
  • Dimeritium Bombs – disrupts her supernatural abilities

Stack these tools together and the battle becomes far more manageable.

When Luzi falls, loot her remains for any drops, and don't forget the trophy – that's your proof of the kill. Ride back to Helma, hand it over, and collect your reward.
