The Witcher 3 guide: completing the Deadly Delights quest

Deadly Delights is a Contract quest in The Witcher 3 that sends Geralt after Lilith, a succubus preying on Novigrad's officers. It's a great pick if you want a pause from the main storyline or simply fancy exploring more of the city. This guide covers everything from picking up the job to finishing off the monster.

How to Start the Deadly Delights Contract

To pick up this Contract, head to the notice board in Hierarch Square and grab the note left by Sergeant Gilbert Witschke. It describes several officers who've been left battered and near death, and Gilbert has decided that this apparent woman — along with any accomplices — should be tortured for it.

Once you've taken the note, travel east, then head south past the fish market until you run into Gilbert himself. After speaking with him, feel free to haggle over your payment, then set off to find the medic who examined the victims.

The medic can be found at the docks, roughly west of Gilbert's spot. Chat with him and go through all the dialogue options about the guards until you've squeezed out every detail about the situation.

How to Find Crippled Kate's Brothel in Hierarch Square

From the docks, head south, cross the canal, and turn left through the tunnel when you reach it. Ahead lies a market — search it with your Witcher Senses. Start by spotting the child's footprints on the ground, then locate the two-toed hoofprints.

Follow those hoofprints north toward Crippled Kate's. Enter the narrow alley, break the crate using Aard, and continue on until the trail ends at the brothel's steps. Head inside and speak with the madame.

Feel free to join in any of the diversions on offer, then bring up the murdered guards with her. You have two choices here: use the Axii Sign to push the conversation along, or lay out how the clues point to this place. If you go with the second option, she'll insist you leave.

After leaving the brothel, look for a perfume bottle. Track its scent using your Witcher Senses until you find a well-dressed local man. Talk to him and he'll claim a succubus attacked him.

The creature is hiding in a nearby building. Use the eastern door just south of the distressed man, head upstairs, then climb the ladder to the level above. Go through the door onto the wooden platform outside.

At the end of this walkway you'll spot another ladder. Climb it into the loft, then drop through the gap into an elegantly furnished room. Head down the stairs and speak with Lilith. You can either order her to leave — which earns you a trophy and a solid sword — or fight and kill her.

How to Kill Lilith

Lilith won't give you much trouble, but a few preparations make the fight easier. She's weak to Hybrid Oil, so keep your sword coated with it. The Quen Sign is also extremely useful here, so make sure it's set to your Sign button before the battle begins.

Once the succubus is dealt with, return to the guard who first hired you. Report what happened, then collect your payment for a job well done.
