Honkai Star Rail Pearl: materials, ability kit, and Eidolon details

A new 5-Star Ice character appears to be on the horizon for Honkai: Star Rail. According to leaked beta information, Pearl — a character on The Elation path — is expected to arrive in version 4.6. Here's everything currently known about her kit, the materials you'll need to max her out, and her Eidolons, plus a timeline of how she fits into the current version cycle.

Honkai: Star Rail is currently in version 4.5. Phase One of 4.5 introduced 5-Star Wind/Remembrance attacker Robin Summeretto on her 'Summer Chorus' banner, alongside a rerun of 5-Star Wind/Remembrance attacker Hyacine on the 'A Rainbow Onto Twilight' banner.

Pearl is expected to follow as the boosted 5-Star character of her own banner in version 4.6. And as with all limited banners, even if you miss her debut run, she will eventually return when the banner schedule cycles back to her.

If you're planning ahead, stockpiling the right materials now means you can level her to her full potential the moment she drops.

— Pearl's kit: a DEF-scaling Ice support

Pearl's core identity: she's a 5-Star Ice character on The Elation path whose entire kit scales off her DEF stat. All percentages below are based on Level 1 Traces and remain subject to change.

• Basic Attack — Brushstroke: Trace the Severed Stream: Deals Ice Damage equal to 126% of Pearl's DEF to one designated enemy.
• Basic Attack — Brushstroke: Imagenate the Starry Night: Deals Ice Damage equal to 140% of Pearl's DEF to all enemies, restores HP for all allies equal to 11.2% of Pearl's DEF plus 224, and additionally heals the ally with the lowest HP percentage by the same amount. While in possession of 'Certified Banger', it additionally deals Ice Elation Damage equal to 20% of Pearl's DEF to attacked enemies.
• Basic Attack — Brushstroke: Render the Great Wave: Deals Ice Damage equal to 140% of Pearl's DEF to all enemies, with the same healing values as above.
• Skill (Defense) — Relume Life's Light: Gains 15 points of 'Certified Banger', restores HP for all allies equal to 15% of Pearl's DEF plus 300, and additionally heals the lowest-HP-percentage ally by the same amount.
• Technique (Support) — Recast Masterwork in Nacre: After use, gains 'Aesthetic Archetype', which transfers to the active character on switch. At the start of the next battle, Pearl gains 20 'Certified Banger' and applies 'Deep Learning' to the character holding 'Aesthetic Archetype'. 'Deep Learning' has two charges and cannot be applied to Pearl herself.
• Talent (Defense) — Grow Grace from Grit: Each point of 'Certified Banger' equals 200 points of Repellency. When an ally takes damage, Pearl can consume Repellency to block 60% of that damage. 'Certified Banger' lasts indefinitely with a max of 50 points, and when an ally's HP is at 50% or lower, their damage taken is reduced by 37.5%.
• Ultimate — Appraise Soul's Ground: Gains 20 'Certified Banger' and uses 'Deep Learning' on a designated ally, making them the 'Aesthetic Archetype'. With 1/2/3 or more Elation characters on the team, the 'Aesthetic Archetype's' action is advanced by 10%/15%/30%. With 4 or more Elation characters, the 'Aesthetic Archetype' gains one extra turn, starting with 30 'Certified Banger' and 60 Punchline (removed at turn's end). Under 'Deep Learning', the Basic Attack 'Trace the Severed Stream' is enhanced to 'Render the Great Wave' — or to 'Imagenate the Starry Night' if the 'Aesthetic Archetype' is on the Path of Elation — and attacks additionally deal 75% Ice Elation Damage calculated using the 'Aesthetic Archetype's' stats. 'Deep Learning' has three charges, one consumed per Enhanced Basic Attack; when charges run out, it ends.

Bonus Traces:

• Panoptic Vision: At 2400 DEF or higher, increases Pearl's Elation by 32%, plus 3% per 100 DEF exceeded, up to 3600 excess DEF counted.
• Sensory Latitude: At the start of each ally's turn, Pearl gains 5 'Certified Banger' (max 50; resets at the start of her own turn). Using an Enhanced Basic Attack or Skill dispels 1 debuff from all allies.
• Aesthetic Firewall: After entering combat and using her Ultimate, if the 'Aesthetic Archetype' is an Elation character, their next Ultimate regenerates a fixed 90 Energy for Pearl. Does not stack.

Eidolons

Pulling duplicates of Pearl on her banner grants Eidolons that upgrade her existing abilities:

• E1 — Nestle That Pearl in Uninked Tides: With 2/3/4 or more Elation characters on the team, increases all allies' Elation stat by 10%/20%/80% of Pearl's Elation, capped at a 60% increase.
• E2 — Crop That Dappled Dawn: Merrymakes all allies' Elation DMG by 15%. Using her Ultimate causes other Elation allies (excluding Pearl and the 'Aesthetic Archetype') to also trigger the action advance effect, and doubles the 'Certified Banger' and Punchline gained at the start of the Ultimate's extra turn.
• E3 — Sketch That Suspended Wave: Basic Attack +1 level (max 10), Elation Skill +1 level (max 15), Ultimate +2 levels (max 15).
• E4 — Study That Veiled Smile: In 'Grow Grace from Grit', each 'Certified Banger' point provides 40 more Repellency, and the blockable damage percentage increases by 5%.
• E5 — Render Those Starlit Swirls: Skill and Talent +2 levels (max 15), Elation Skill +1 level (max 15).
• E6 — Compute Life From One Shell: While in 'Deep Learning', all allies gain 20% All-Type RES PEN, and Pearl's Enhanced Basic Attack additionally deals Ice Elation DMG equal to 240% of the 'Aesthetic Archetype's' stats.

What this means for players

While waiting for version 4.6, the current priority list is clear: redeem the new codes for Stellar Jade, keep an eye on the banner schedule, and start pre-farming Sea Siren's Torn Fin and the Whimsy Wax material line if you intend to pull Pearl. Given her kit's heavy synergy with Elation-path teammates — and her Ultimate's extra-turn mechanics at 4+ Elation characters — players building a dedicated Elation team have the most reason to prepare. Just remember: all of this is beta data, and HoYoverse may adjust any of it before Pearl officially goes live.
