War Robots introduces glitch battlefield map and turret-based robot

Pixonic has rolled out Simulation Errors, a fresh event for War Robots that puts a glitchy virtual battlefield front and center. Coming hot on the heels of last month's Sun, Sea, Steel update, the new content introduces Icarus Technologies as a faction meddling with virtual reality, along with a brand-new flagship robot, new weapons, and a returning favorite.

Dedopali and Its Turret Swarm

The star of the show is Dedopali, the new Icarus flagship and the first robot in the game to carry the Engineer specialisation. It's designed for mid-range zone control, unleashing swarms of autonomous weapon pods through a charge-and-release ability.

One of its turrets can launch a projectile that lifts enemies into a helpless GravityLift state, while the robot itself can glitch-teleport out of danger and reposition its pod battery when the pressure gets too much.

Iaraghi Weapons Reward Patient Players

Supporting the new robot are the Iaraghi weapons, mid-range guns that build up energy while idle. Fire them at full charge and the shot punches straight through Defense Points, Forcefields, and Reflectors — a setup that should suit careful, patient shooters nicely.

A new tactical drone, Prena, rounds out the Icarus kit. Built for Icarus "bug" frames and Dedopali, it cleanses Lockdown and Root when you go invisible, boosts pod damage, and deals bonus damage to anything caught in GravityLift. Dedopali's dedicated pilot, meanwhile, pushes swarm missile damage further and adds Blinds on top.

Shell Returns With an Ultimate Makeover

Not everything in the update is brand new. DSC's Shell, the classic aggressive brawler, is back with an Ultimate overhaul that raises its base durability and increases its top speed. Ultimate Glacier and Rime rockets complete the package, bringing larger area-of-effect damage and faster rocket flight.
