Silent Hill Townfall: How to solve the Power Credit Card puzzle

One of the early puzzles in Part 1 of Silent Hill Townfall asks you to find a Power Credit Card and use it to get the electricity running again in Zoe's house. Tracking the card down is one thing, but the prepaid meter machine itself can be baffling if you've never had to top one up in real life. Here's a straightforward walkthrough to get the lights back on in no time.

Find the Newsagents on Your Map

Start by thoroughly exploring Zoe's house. Underneath the stairs you'll pick up the Power Card Credit Guide, which marks the nearby Newsagents on your map — that's your next destination.

Note that the front door of the shop is locked, so you'll need to slip in through the back entrance. Watch out for an enemy patrolling near the doorway; sneak past it carefully to avoid a confrontation.

Grab the Prepaid Power Card Inside

Once you're safely inside the Newsagents, make your way to the front desk. Here you can collect two useful items: a Plank and the Newsagents Note. After that, open the till to claim the item you actually came for — the Prepaid Power Card.

There's nothing else of value in the shop, so head back out through the front door this time and return to Zoe's house.

Top Up the Electric Meter

Back at Zoe's place, interact with the Power Card machine located beneath the stairs. With the Power Card Credit Guide in hand, you can now top up her electric meter. Follow these steps:

1. Insert the Electricard into the card slot.
2. Use Button A to cycle through the options until you reach the Credit Card option.
3. Press Button B to apply the credit.
4. Push the Master Power Switch to restore the electricity.

That's all there is to it — the power is back on and you can carry on with the story.
