Part 3 of Silent Hill Townfall, "The Patient," is where the game takes a darker turn than anything in Part 2 — and it doubles as a crash course in medicine, teaching you how to run x-rays, dose medication, and perform blood transfusions. It's genuinely enjoyable, provided you can tune out whatever is prowling the hospital corridors.

This guide covers every main objective in the chapter and how to complete each one. If you need broader help getting around St. Amelia, check out our full collection of Silent Hill Townfall tips and guides.

Getting Set Up in St. Amelia Medical Centre

You'll start this chapter controlling Zoe inside the Medical Centre, before switching back to Simon later on. Fair warning: if you're squeamish, this section involves plenty of medical equipment, drugs, and even blood transfusions. Fun times.

Here are all the main objectives for Part 3:

  1. Answer Dr Glenn's questions about the patient
  2. Perform an x-ray on the patient
  3. Find the three medications for the patient
  4. Administer the medication to the patient
  5. Collect the intubation equipment and intubate the patient
  6. Explore the basement and collect Alan Duncan's blood bag
  7. Collect the blood bags from Ward SW
  8. Collect the blood bags from Ward DP
  9. Match the blood bags with the correct medical records
  10. Solve the blood transfusion vault puzzle
  11. Start again

1. Answer Dr Glenn's Questions

Once you're playing as Zoe in the Surgery, Dr Glenn's voice will soon crackle through the intercom asking you to talk to him. Before responding, loot the room:

  • A First Aid Kit sits next to the sink.
  • The St. Amelia Medical Centre Map hangs on the wall by the whiteboard.
  • The PC holds details on equipment, x-ray dosages, and medication dosages you'll need later.

Now speak to Dr Glenn, who will quiz you on the patient's vitals. You'll need to read the monitors around the room correctly — no easy task without medical training. Here's what to pick:

  • Blood pressure: Choose the "most sensible" option — the monitor showing dystolic/systolic readings. It's the second from the right (on the right side of the bed if you're facing the patient).
  • Pulse: The third monitor from the right, showing a pulse of 162.
  • Blood oxygen: The fifth from the right, on the left side of the bed, showing a reading of 80.

Once you've answered, Dr Glenn pages you the code for the connected x-ray room: 7103.

2. Perform the X-Rays

Punch in 7103 to enter the x-ray room. Dr Glenn asks you to scan the patient's head, but with a machine full of buttons, you can't just guess. Check the X-Ray Dosage Table on the Surgery's PC, which lists the correct Volts (kV), Cur (mA), and Time (s) for each body part.

For the skull, set:

  • Volts (kV) = 3
  • Cur (mA) = 7
  • Time (s) = 1

Align the camera with the patient's skull, then press the 'Alignment' button.

Next up is the chest. The values this time are:

  • Volts (kV) = 7
  • Cur (mA) = 3
  • Time (s) = 1.2

Align the camera with the chest and hit 'Alignment' again. Collect both scans from the Printer and hang them on the whiteboard next to the intercom. Report each image to Dr Glenn when prompted, and he'll assign you the next task: preparing and delivering a combination of medications. The catch? None of them are in this room, so it's time to search the hospital.

3. Track Down the Three Medications

The medicines you need (conveniently noted on your map) are:

  • 2.5mg Dextracyclate
  • 3mg Hydroxalene
  • 11mg Tensobromide

Here's where to find each one, plus a few other rooms worth a detour:

  • The Pharmacy Store on the ground floor (east of the Surgery) holds Tensobromide 11mg.
  • Reception and the Office in the hallway outside the Surgery each contain a save phone.
  • Upstairs in the Chapman Ward (west side of the hospital), Bay 6 holds Dextracyclate 2.5mg.
  • The northern Office in Chapman Ward contains the Records Room code: 2605.
  • Head back downstairs to the ground level of Chapman Ward, enter the Records Room with that code, and grab 3mg Hydroxalene from the storage locker.

With all three in hand, return to the Surgery.

4. Administer the Medication

Giving the patient their meds isn't as simple as hooking up an IV. You must set the correct delivery rate on the infusion equipment based on the patient's Body Mass — 88kg, listed on the whiteboard. Cross-reference that with the Medication Dosage Table on the PC:

  • 2.5mg Dextracyclate = 15
  • 3mg Hydroxalene = 7
  • 11mg Tensobromide = 8

On each machine, press 'set rate', enter the matching delivery rate, then hit 'ready' and move to the next one. When all three are set, interact with the pump machine to the left of the bed and press 'start'.

Dr Glenn then instructs you to fetch intubation equipment from the basement — but first, you need to call ahead.

5. Intubate the Patient

Head to Reception and dial the extension Dr Glenn gives you: 5353. Whoever answers isn't thrilled to hear from you, but confirms the equipment is downstairs.

Take the elevator outside Reception and press 'B', then carefully make your way to Storage on your map, where a Medical Intubation Kit waits on a shelf. Ride the elevator back to the Surgery and interact with the patient to begin.

Intubation plays out as a minigame: position the tube correctly, and you'll know you've got it when the indicator in the bottom-right corner of the screen shakes and glows white. If you struggle, arrows appear after a few failed attempts to point you in the right direction — no need to panic.

Once the tube is in, Dr Glenn orders a median sternotomy, an incision along the chest. A cutscene follows, and the patient's identity is revealed: it's Simon.

6. Into the Basement for Alan Duncan's Blood Bag

Following the cutscene, you're now playing as Simon in the Surgery. First, use Zoe's code (7103) to enter the x-ray room and pick up Strange Postcard 7 from the desk. Then head down the ladder that has appeared in the Surgery.

You'll arrive in a room with a tally-marked door ahead. Go through it and follow the hallway. The door at the far end is locked, so turn right and squeeze through the gap in the wall beside the wooden pallets.

At the end of that hall, tune your CRTV into the local Radio Signal. You'll hear a nurse explaining they can no longer take patients, followed by a shot of the Medical Centre. When you're ready, exit through the vent into a bathroom.

Leave the bathroom and go left, where you can trade your Plank for the Pipe wedging the gate shut. Head through the door opposite and down another hallway.

In the next room you'll find the Medical Centre - Different Map, plus a save phone on the wall. This area is filled with blood transfusion machines, blood bags, and medical records — kicking off the chapter's central puzzle: match each blood bag to its corresponding medical record.

Explore the rooms for healing items, then head to the rightmost room on the south side of the eastern hallway. A vent there connects to the leftmost room on the same hallway's south side.

Grab Alan Duncan's Blood Bag next to the bed and read Zoe's Patient List on the table. It reveals four more patients — two per wing — to find in this area:

  • Sarah Watson – Room S05, Ward S
  • Lesley Greer – Room S12, Ward W
  • Matthew Clark – Room D01, Ward P
  • George McEwan – Room P10, Ward D

All four are marked on your map after reading the note. There's also a recorded message from Zoe on the table discussing her patient, Alan Duncan.

7. Collect the Ward SW Blood Bags

Check your map and you'll see two wards flanking the room with the Blood Transfusion Machine. Start with the western gate to Ward SW: place Alan Duncan's Blood Bag beside the shuttered gate to open it.

Head down the ladder ahead, and if you make your way to Lesley Greer's room on the right, you'll find…
