Silent Hill Townfall takes the long-running horror series across the Atlantic for the first time, dropping players into St. Amelia — a quiet, mist-shrouded town on a Scottish island where something has clearly gone very wrong. It falls to the protagonist, Simon, to uncover the truth and try to set things right.
If you're working your way through the game's puzzles or struggling with its stealth-heavy encounters, this hub page collects our walkthrough coverage, tips, and individual puzzle solutions for every part of the game. Light spoilers follow, but we've deliberately avoided the biggest story reveals and key plot moments.
Tips and Tricks for Silent Hill Townfall
Before diving into the walkthrough, here are a few general pointers that should make your stay on St. Amelia a lot less stressful.
Make regular use of the CRTV. Townfall leans far more on stealth than on direct confrontation, and the CRTV is your best friend for keeping tabs on where enemies are patrolling — which in turn makes avoiding them much easier. Ignore it at your peril: blundering into enemies unprepared is a real risk, and one of the creatures you'll face later in the game can kill you instantly.
Combine your healing items. Mixing Alcohol with Gauze produces Sterilised Gauze, which restores more HP than plain Gauze on its own. Empty IV Bags are another useful combo — pair one with IV Fluid and equip it to give Simon a convenient revive. As you progress, you'll unlock an even better version: Antibiotics combined with IV Bags produce a revive that also brings you back to full health when used.
Loot liberally, but save your bullets. Healing items are plentiful across St. Amelia, provided you take the time to search rooms thoroughly. Playing on Normal difficulty, we rarely found ourselves short on health items unless we were deliberately soaking up hits. Ammunition is a different story — it stays scarce for most of the game (with one notable exception in Part 5), so only fire when you genuinely have to.
Get comfortable with hiding. You'll spot plenty of hiding spots scattered around the game early on, and there's a good reason for that. Since so much of Townfall is about sneaking past enemies rather than fighting them, it's worth mentally noting every hiding place you come across as you explore. Chances are you'll be grateful for them later.
Lock doors behind you. Many doors in Townfall — bathroom doors, office doors and more — have manual locks, letting you seal yourself inside a room once you've entered. This is well worth doing. A lockable room doubles as both a safe hiding spot and a place to check your map and plan your route without fear of a monster barging in mid-thought.
